heat wave

we are busy setting records here in dc...damn, it's hot!

is purple rain next?

some people saw snow yesterday...if it didnt sound so completely toxic, i would love snow to be purple: that would at least make it less offensive (to me), and maybe a little more fun for everyone the next time we get 45", which i hope is never.

last year at (about) this time, we had snow: not today, though.

the rain ended and the fog moved in.

frigid weather

we received another dusting of snow friday. temperatures did not get above 30° today and with the wind, it feels like 19°!

the dog actually turned around to go back home during our morning walk.

another stormy weekend here meant little outdoor time...and it gets dark so early these days!

no' easter blows tide up

i feel like I have been in a cloud for the last two days: literally! it's not really raining, just misting heavily. low pressure off the coast pushed up a super high tide.
