plants in the hood

today's plant has got to be the snowdrop! here's the flower: where's the snow? not here, i am happy to report! last year at this time we had over 2 feet of snow on the ground and the snowmagedon was just about to happen. this year: not so much and i am thrilled this winter has been so bearable! i don't want to curse things though because the farmer's almanac is predicting a blizzard for the last two days of this month: yikes!

snow on the chesapeake

6 inches of snow saturday...6 more yesterday...12-24 predicted for the weekend:
i feel like i live in antartica!
it can be pretty, though.
this lovely photo sent from my girl, roseanne, she lives down on the chester river and has never seen snow so close to the water's edge.
