it is not yet winter, but temperatures here in dc have been 10-15 degrees below normal for weeks now and yesterday we got our first snow fall of the season: it's beginning to look a lot like christmas!

snow on the chesapeake
6 inches of snow saturday...6 more yesterday...12-24 predicted for the weekend:

it can be pretty, though.
this lovely photo sent from my girl, roseanne, she lives down on the chester river and has never seen snow so close to the water's edge.
